The place and role of Mary in salvation history continues to unfold in the mind and heart of the Church. St. Louis de Montfort sees this development as headed to a great blossoming, or even explosion, of “true devotion” as the days approach the Last Days. These two presentations are a tiny offering toward the hope of appropriate, authentic true devotion to Jesus through Mary.

Dear Thomas,
Thank you for posting this. There were persons in our parish (and others living at a distance) who were unable to be with us that Morning, and this will give them an opportunity to hear all the beautiful work God has done in Mary, our Mother and Model. May we continue to ponder the Infinite Love of God Who calls us all to holiness and has shown us in Mary, all that we are called to be.

This was really awesome, and so informative. I really hope there will be more video posts, especially reflecting on such important matters as this one. I learned so much!

P.S. I’ve always found Revelations to be captivating. A verse that is very near and dear to me is Ch 22 vs. 14 ” Blessed are they that wash their robes in the blood of the Lamb, that they may have a right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.”

Thanks so much for your reply. I am happy that you learned from our videos. Mary is very important to us, as the Catechism teaches in paragraph 971 : “The Church’s devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary is intrinsic to Christian worship”.
The word “intrinsic” is significant. We simply cannot do without Mary. God’s Plan has set her apart to be our Mother and Model. God chose to send His Son to be born of her. The words of Jesus from the cross to St. John, are words that need to be heard deep down into our hearts, and be kept, “Behold Your Mother”.

I have listened to each of your videos, they are excellent. Because of my devotion to Mary since childhood, this video presentation is my favorite.
The way the True Devotion was explained I cannot understand why anyone would regard Her as a rival to Jesus.
It’s never been Mary or, but Mary and.

Yes, may we all be nourished, as you have prayed, that we may continue to reflect on the Face of Christ as Mary did. May the Lord renew each of us that we may work with Him fully in His renewal of all.
I agree also that it is never a matter of “Mary or” but rather, “Mary and” for she was the white dawn bringing to us the perfect Light of Christ, and she continues to bring Him Who is Life for all.

Oh my, you folks have such a beautiful way of expressing yourselves, at time I am embarrassed to respond. But, you will have to accept me as I am, Gaby does…. 😉
I always had some reservation concerning the consecration to Mary, even though I have been reciting this prayer daily for years. In my heart it meant that I was committed myself to suffering and it’s something that was accepted, somewhat reluctantly, but all for the greater glory of God.
Both yourself and Thomas are the first to make me understand the real meaning of the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Saint La-Marie Grignion de Montfort! Thank you so much.

God can use any means, and often chooses surprising ones, to convey His Grace to us. I’m so happy that Thomas and I have helped you to understand this beautiful Act of Consecration. It is a grace that God will build upon, grace upon grace, if we continue to give ourselves totally to Him, as Mary and all the saints learned to do.
Gaby, your wife, is also a means of grace for you. Thomas and I have learned also how God works such miracles in marriages! Husbands and wives are part of the Infinite Mystery of God’s Love for His Church. As one grows, we all grow in God’s Love. Please never feel embarrassed to respond.
